Apparently, scenic routes are my thing. I was born and raised in New York City, surrounded by bright lights and boisterous voices. But plans changed and I moved to the Netherlands in my 20's, a complete 180 degree turn. And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My path to design wasn’t exactly straight. For a while, I thought medicine was my calling. Instead, I ended up sketching in the margins, tinkering with computers, and making way too many hobby PowerPoints when I was in school. Somewhere along the way, it clicked: I cared more about layouts than lab coats. Turns out, creativity was the constant all along.
my philosophy
To me, design is equal parts blueprint and atmosphere. First comes the structure. Making sure things work, flow, and can actually be used without frustration. Once that’s set, it’s about creating a mood. I love when a site or a brandmark doesn’t just “say” what it is, but feels like it.
Good design should feel obvious in the best way. No overthinking, no second-guessing, it just works. And when it works, it frees people up to focus on connecting, exploring, and remembering. That’s when design shifts from a layout on a screen to an experience that sticks.
Design has a funny way of showing up everywhere—whether you’re looking for it or not.
Typography, layout, imagery, even the smallest bits of copy—everything plays a part in how a brand comes across. When those details line up, it feels seamless. That’s what I aim for: design that’s clear, consistent, and leaves an impression.
